> learn
Maribeth Browning is leaving the villages of Atlanta for the neighborhoods of Africa and finally putting her chacos to use after learning about the developmental work of Malo Ga Kujilana in Mozambique. A journalism major and self-proclaimed photographer, Maribeth plans to travel the world living stories that she writes with a F-301 Zebra pen and paints with a Canon. Her hope for this summer is to look up from the pen and paper, share the lens and listen as Africa sings her own song of hope. Besides that, she fully expects all other expectations to melt in the sub-Saharan heat. Africa is alive, so while Maribeth knows there will be fears to conquer and lessons to learn, she is most excited to talk and eat, live and laugh—and dance.
