Kelsey Sherrod decided it was time to jump on the Africa boat and earn her INSPI(RED) t-shirt when she heard about Malo Ga Kujilana and the new methods of development in Mozambique. After time spent in the classroom and the textbook on anthropology, Kelsey is not turning down a chance to see Africa in color, or to come back from a place more human, and not just with more Facebook friends. An English major with designs on graduating, Kelsey plans to study cultural anthropology and spend her life getting paid to sit around the proverbial campfire. Because life happens in Africa, this journey of a lifetime may be just the first night under the stars. Her foremost hope is that her story and the Yaos’ stories can become one.
